Community Tasting Note

Sunday, August 1, 2010 - Not decanted. Good colour, showing some development but not really betraying its 15-year age. Lovely St Julien nose of cassis and blackberry and pencil shavings. Later some slight secondary notes (tobacco tones), but still quite a primary nose really (possibly decanting would have affected this). Classic Cabernet flavours on the palate. Beautiful balance on the palate, concentrated yet elegant, velvety texture, well-judged. Impressive. Long and "more-ish". Very good plus.
