90 Points

Thursday, October 14, 2010 - Pre the-Mox. Beautiful bright brass color. Extroverted caramel notes waft up upon opening. Good, rich attack of a wine beginning to go south, but which is still holding its own, by a fingernail. Adequate, though muted, yellow fruits - ripe lemons, starfruit, hints of unripe bananas, kumquats, with good structural acidity and noticeable, but not intrusive, wood. Secondary lanolin and hazelnuts. On its way down, and hints of maderization, but still quite good. Especially for 19 years at the villages level. Impressive actually, but drink up.
