Tuesday, October 19, 2010 - Knew the second I opened this that I was killing a baby. Tannins were very upfront, nose was classic Bordeaux. Didn't get any of the Licorice I have come to love from Lagrange. For a 15 year old bottle, this was all tannin. Spent a few hours in the decanter and by the end of the night it was fairly fruit driven, but still holding back the complex notes I expected. Good foil for the 1980 Mondavi Reserve, but just didn't live up to my expectations.
