This changed to a nice smell of an aged Bordeaux, no strong fruits anymore, but you wouldn´t expect this from a wine in this price category at that age. Still there, you can drink as it won´t get better, but no need to hurry. We had it to a variation of cheese, which from time to time was too strong for the wine. Open for 1,5 hours, no sign of fading until the bottle was empty.
