Friday, December 10, 2010 - Still seems pretty young for a 15 year-old wine. Decanted 3 hours, and drank over 3 more, and it opened up nicely thru the night, though its peak was at about 4 hours. A light touch, crisp and austere, even with the age. The heat is gone on this 14.6(ish)% wine, but a bit of the oak is still present to round it out. Not much left in the way of fruit, but plenty of zing. I imagine this wine could still have gone on for a while.
