Saturday, March 12, 2011 - Decanted and poured, this proved to be a worthy follow up to the outstanding 2004. The aromatics offer a wonderful mix of black cherry, tar, spice, cigar ash and chocolate. The color is a dark ruby to almost black that is youthful and vibrant. The medium/full bodied palate shows texture, depth and balance with medium grained tannins on the finish. This impresses for its brash youthfulness. This will benefit from additional bottle age.
