Wednesday, December 29, 2004 - Unfiltered ruby red the wine was opened and poured at cellar temp. Initially the nose was very mute, but with some air and time the wine evolved into a rose petals, and cheery blossom delight. On the palate the Dugat was awash with raspberries and medium to dark vibrant fruit. With its slinky mouth feel the mid palate had good vibrant acidity. The finish could have been a touch longer but I am not complaining being that there was only 2 barrels made and Wilfred was kind enough to share 1 bottle with me.
