Wednesday, May 25, 2011 - Medium dark in color with aromas of ripe cherries, toasted oak, crisp plums, a bit of toffee and jerky with a slight herbaceousness. Medium body with balanced acidity. Bottle says 14.8% abv but I can't tell. It's very mellow for this yet is empowered by the acidity. A solid fruit foundation gaining in complexity as the wine develops in the glass. A rather enjoyable wine. Wish I had some salmon.
