Wow, hot wine. I have liked some Stanly Ranch stuff. I tasted this after 10 other Pinots, and it built up. When later I tasted it on my own, I just didn't like it. Almost 15% alc, it is hot! Plus the taste is simple, like canned cranberry jelly and not much more. I mean it is nice, but not much beyond that. For the price it should show more. Not buying more.

ok, i'm biased as the company owns the vineyard, but this pinot is simply singing; well rounded, balanced, earthy, forest floor, cherries, nice acid and sweet tannins - good middle viscosity and a super long finish.....really has come together nicely as a complete wine.... way to go Brooks...

A bit disappointed in the wine. Smoky aroma. A bit better an hour later. Day 2: the wine did not improve. Really not very good. Don't think it was due to bad storage, but it sure didn't match up with other reviews. Too bad as I am a big fan of Coho's Headwaters.

Brought to group dinner at Presidio Social Club - consistent with prior notes - strong vanilla and floral notes, with bright red strawberry/cherry flavor developing with air. Didn't get sufficient time to breath, but nonetheless a crowd pleaser

Golden Gate Cellars Tasting - my second favorite from the tasting (and about half the cost of the DuMol RRV 2009 Pinot) - strong floral and vanilla notes, smooth, easy drinking. Delicious.

Medium dark in color with aromas of ripe cherries, toasted oak, crisp plums, a bit of toffee and jerky with a slight herbaceousness. Medium body with balanced acidity. Bottle says 14.8% abv but I can't tell. It's very mellow for this yet is empowered by the acidity. A solid fruit foundation gaining in complexity as the wine develops in the glass. A rather enjoyable wine. Wish I had some salmon.

Red fruit on nose and palate. First sip almost seemed like it had a slight spritz but this blew off within 5 minutes.

Deep red bowl of cherries. More complex than thr RRV offering. Spicy black chery, big fat fruit. A little hollow in mid palate.
