Sunday, August 21, 2011 - "Drink between 2015 and 2040" - WHAT? This is *so good* right now... Perhaps it really is too young - I thought the nose was restrained, though floral, perfumey, and enticing. Swirling the wine in a glass, I've never seen such beauty - it foreshadows how it feels in your mouth. My first taste: "WOW this is the best ever!" It's sweet, and I was bowled over by the fruit - I'll try to restrain myself as far as waxing poetic, but you're instantly transported to one of those idyllic tropical scenes.
There is a dancing acidity for balance, and a mineral edge that comes in after a bit. Best German wine I've ever had, very good Quality-to-Price-Ratio. This is why people drink German Rieslings.
