Wednesday, October 12, 2011 - Tasted over two days. Consistent over both. Dark garnet. Absolutely massive wine on both nose and palate. The nose shows powerful berries and a strong surge of black pepper. Full bodied. Raspberry flavors and an almost syrupy texture. Low acidity, soft tannic structure and huge fruit persisting through the entire palate and finish.

This shows more like Priorat or a very modern Pinot or Grenache than a Rhone wine. I don't dislike it, but another fatiguing bottle of wine.
