Friday, November 18, 2011 - This is not your traditional Beaujolais - It's an amazing wine but made as if the Gamay were Pinot Noir grapes - made like a Burgundy. Big nose of spice and red fruit; velvet texture with medium tannins, flavours of black cherry, spice and a bit of vanilla. The finish is medium in length. This wine will only get better - would love to put it in a Pinot Noir tasting in 5 years - it will blow many Burgundies away.
