Friday, November 18, 2011 - Beautiful wine. Color is a solid garnet. Lightens a bit towards the edge but retains the garnet color showing no amber or bricking. Very complex aromatics which included dried cherries, underbrush, tobacco and leather. Outstanding balance. On the palate the dried cherries really shine through. After a few hours in the glass licorice & menthol appear. Finish is a little dry but the wine has integrated nicely and shows good length and texture. Don't think the wine will improve but isn't in any danger of fading. Fantastic showing!
