I knew the wine would still be young, but I have several of these in the cellar and I thought it would be a good time to check in and see where things were. Very dark color (trademark Voerzio) all the way to the rim. Fabulous nose of dark red & black fruit, accompanied by aged tobacco, leather & truffles. Finish is fantastic. Very long, with tannins still showing the wines youthfulness, however the fruit is so beautiful there is no drying in the mouth. Outstanding balance. Only thing this wine needs is more time in bottle. Aging at glacial speed. Won’t check in again for another 4 or 5 years.

Beautiful dark color right to the rim. Took several hours to open up. Nose started off with notes of forest floor & wet moss. Kinda like sticking your head in a terrarium. Dark black fruit slowly emerged to take center stage after several hours. Finish was smooth and long. Tannins have become round and integrated. First bottle of my half case I tried. Nothing wrong with opening a bottle now, but I'll wait another few years before cracking another in the hope the wine won’t be so shy. Very nice showing.

Beautiful wine. Color is a solid garnet. Lightens a bit towards the edge but retains the garnet color showing no amber or bricking. Very complex aromatics which included dried cherries, underbrush, tobacco and leather. Outstanding balance. On the palate the dried cherries really shine through. After a few hours in the glass licorice & menthol appear. Finish is a little dry but the wine has integrated nicely and shows good length and texture. Don't think the wine will improve but isn't in any danger of fading. Fantastic showing!
