90 Points

Sunday, November 20, 2011 - Attractive aromas of caramel and apples. Full palate, with flavors of butter and spice. Vanilla laden lingering finish. The wood is obviously present, but well integrated. Classic white burgundy profile, and playing well above the level of a simple bourgogne - it can put to shame many loftier Burgundies that sell for twice its low 20's price. I do wish that it had more backbone, especially mid palate. And while it has the grace of great white burgundy, it lacks the complexity.

Nevertheless, I'm so thrilled to find a bottle that is both affordable and tastes like top quality Burgundy, I'm willing to bend my grading curve a little and rate this wine as outstanding.
