Tuesday, November 22, 2011 - From vines planted in 2000, per the back label. In a lot of ways this tastes more like cabernet franc than malbec, and probably structured more like a Loire cab franc too. It gets a lot of its structure from its tense acidic spine though after a little bit the tannic muscle becomes more obvious. It's got a juicy drinkability to it, a real thirst-quencher, but the aromas are already tertiary and savory.
