Saturday, December 10, 2011 - Opaque bright crimson with just a touch of purple remaining, on the pop and pour this is very tight. With a couple hours of air, opens up to show bright red fruits with just a little bit of jamminess and a breath of mint and dust. On the palate, there is still plenty of fruit and decently strong, medium-grained tannins. There are not many secondary flavors, and this is a little too one-dimensional to be great, but it has substance and is very easy drinking. At the $25 nominal purchase price, this would be a good value. Given that I had half-price vouchers from Lot18, this was a steal.
