Tuesday, February 21, 2012 - Cigar box, olive, oak spices, cinnamon, and dusty leather on first approach. Funky earth and faint fruit on the nose. Decanted and enjoyed over 2 hours at dinner. Evolved quickly with air and uncovered more red fruit. The palate had bright fruit of cherry, cranberry, rhubarb, and wonderful acid that was laced with smooth tannins leading to a long dry finish. Couldn't keep my nose out of the glass.
