Wednesday, April 11, 2012 - Day 1 - Opened bottle for 90 minutes prior to drinking. Cherry, blackberry, pepper, earthy elements on the nose. Juicy mix of cherries and black raspberry on the palate. Finish is chewy and oaky. The tannins and acid are balanced, but the fruit needs time. Day 2 - comes together with complexity at the start, but mellow long tannins at the finish. This wine will be amazing in a few years, although it may be difficult not to drink it in the mean time!
