Warm and delicious, one of those wines I could just sniff all night (but instead we drank it, and alas, only one bottle remains). Dark fruit, licorice, mushroom, chocolate, old leather. And furniture polish, which could indicate some VA-related flaw but this gave the wine a comforting aspect like walking into my grandmother's house as a child. Either this was an extraordinary bottle or it's just really coming into its own now and we should have bought another case.
