Tuesday, May 8, 2012 - A deep ruby color with pleasant, but not highly aromatic nose of dark fruit. Palate is only ordinary to enjoyable with lots of oak, smoke and earth. Very heavy tannins that were still strong the next day. Balance is nice, but not harmonious. Very dry, medium acidity and medium body. Finish was average in length, not long or everlasting. Overall only average.
