90 Points

Friday, June 29, 2012 - Probably a bit past peak. Slightly bricked. High marks for sangio typicity: there's still some red cherry fruit but this wine is about other things: mushroom, earth, leather, sage, and rosemary. Tannins almost fully resolved. Held up well in the glass over an hour or two, the fruit getting a bit brighter and sweeter. A subtle, elegant, pretty wine that I very much enjoyed.
