90 Points

Tuesday, August 7, 2012 - This one was bottled in 2008. 26 yrs in oak cask, and there is plenty of oak seasoning embuing this, and quite effectively to my taste.
A pretty tawny-orange color. Toasted caramel orange bouquet. Palate is consistent and also carries almost a Caribbean vanilla rhum profile as well. Warm, easy on the sweetness with no stickiness. Orange raisin caramel finish ends showing a just bit too much heat. I'm enjoying this like a 92 point wine, but objectively it's a 90. Nothing wrong with that though.
