Sunday, August 12, 2012 - Followed over 2 days with little change in character. Extra dark ruby color, fully opaque and very slow, clear legs. Aroma of floral arrangement and whiskey barrel, along with noticeable alcohol. Very big bodied and hot with maturing fruit and spice but I think the "magic" in this wine is the label claiming 14.5%. All the indicators are there for a great Cabernet but there's no getting away from the heat. I'm sure this was really nice in it's youth, but as the tannins lose grip and the fruit subsides, I think what will be left behind is a real burn bomb. 5+10+14+5 = 84
