Deep garnet color leads to a nose of chocolate covered blueberries. Medium full body shows loads of blueberry, dark cherries, with a hint of mulberry all wrapped in a bouquet of dark chocolate. Sweet tannins last 30 seconds. A perfect hedonistic pairing with carry out Five Guys burgers.

Followed over 2 days with little change in character. Extra dark ruby color, fully opaque and very slow, clear legs. Aroma of floral arrangement and whiskey barrel, along with noticeable alcohol. Very big bodied and hot with maturing fruit and spice but I think the "magic" in this wine is the label claiming 14.5%. All the indicators are there for a great Cabernet but there's no getting away from the heat. I'm sure this was really nice in it's youth, but as the tannins lose grip and the fruit subsides, I think what will be left behind is a real burn bomb. 5+10+14+5 = 84

Decanted 1 hour. Killer nose of black fruit, flowers, and tobacco. Just an outstanding aroma off this wine! Very dark in color, with black fruits, more tobacco and earth hitting the palate. Some dusty tannins on the finish, along with dark chocolate and coffee. Wish I had more of these...Nice job, Trey!

Decanted 1 hour and drank with a butternut squash macaroni casserole. Wild and spicy nose of currant, blackberry and pepper, following to the palate. Still quite tannic on the finish, with sweet cherry pie flavors.

The wines of Sleight of Hand & Va Piano with Trey Busch and Justin Wylie (Peter Pratt's Inn): I brought this wine to share with Trey. Black fruit, tannic, high toned, this is a big bruiser still. Lots of spice, coffee, liquid smoke, ground black pepper and roasted meat notes. Still has loads of time left.
