Monday, September 10, 2012 - Pale ruby color, nose initially the classic kind of funky barnyard thing, but evolves over a few hours to a more fragrant, spicy thing with hints of nutmeg. On the palate, abundant tart red cherries, biting acidity, not overly complex but decent length. Overall I was pleasantly surprised; a lot more in this bottle than many a lower-priced pinot offers.
