Sunday, January 28, 2007 - When I first tried this wine it was hard as nails & I was a little worried it that it would never open up. Now, a couple of years later, this wine could easily hang with some fine Bordeaux. It's very nicely balanced and is smooth and thick on the palate. The aromatics are starting to show some secondary and tertiary elements remeniscent of a fine Bordeaux. There is a bit of animale to this wine and THAT would be the only tip-off that this is a Cote-de-Blaye. It shows great structure and will improve immensly with 10 more years of age. Garagiste hit a home run recommending this wine.
