Thursday, November 15, 2012 - Totally impenetrable on Day 1. It has opened up significantly on Day 2. Soft, well-integrated nose of dried beef, smoke, sour cherry and light baking spice. No sharp edges. The palate is slightly less complex with cranberries and dark cherries. It's soft and smooth on entry, but the structure really kicks in on the mid-palate with tannins drying out the tongue. I'll try to pick up another bottle to see where this one ends up. 87 on Day 1, 91 with upside on Day 2.
