Tuesday, November 20, 2012 - Crimson in colour. Tightly coiled nose with aromatics of both red and dark fruits. On the palate it is very approachable with smooth tannins, and an elegance to the layers of fruit, ending in spice and tobacco. It is already drinking well while retaining acidity and structure to last another 7-10 years. Compared to the 2007 the fruit is much more evident and layered, as the 2008 is far less tannic overall, and instead much more elegant. Submissive, seductive and velvety fruit caresses in the mouth and on the fairly long finish. loads of cabernet character. Really great showing.
