Thursday, December 20, 2012 - Getting ready for the holidays with a Burgundy dinner (The Bristol - Chicago IL): Very charming ripe black and red cherry aromas, showing fat but balanced fruit. Lacy and well textured, this shows overall balance on palate as well, no signs of heat anywhere. Only nit is that today I find too much overt oak spice coming through. Upside from here if the oak integrates better as I expect.
