Wednesday, January 2, 2013 - Drank on NYE with roast beef - opened bottle for a few hours but did not decant- at first a little too astringent but soon opened up with chewy strawberry and cherry mix and slight edge of smoky bacon - the primary fruits soon faded and a glass tasted a few hours later was dull= a good wine but not the out and out classic that I had hoped for
