Whereas Comte Armand's Clos des Epeneaux is all freshness, elegance and class this is concentrated, heavily extracted dark fruits. An excellent wine, but not really to my style. Many wines from the 2011 vintage indicate an earlier drinking date than usual, but not this one. As always it's one for the patient. Estimated maturity: 2022+
