Saturday, September 29, 2012 - This wine really stood out from the rest. The nose was like an old Bordeaux with cigar box and earth. For a 1999 though this was still really tannic, which surprised me. Kind of loosened up as the night went on. I have only had the 2007 previous to this and to be honest I didn't see this emerging that into something like the 1999 but I could be wrong. Could have sworn someone on the board was mentioning Quilceda Creek changed there style around the 2003 vintage? Could be wrong.
