Thursday, February 14, 2013 - Bright straw colour. Nose is very floral, exhibiting flor yeast/green almond and peach pit fruit as well. The acidity is bright leaning tart. Palate shows lots of length with tart peach and granny smith apple accompanied by that same bitter green almond note and a waxy dry-extract texture. The high acidity provides some nice lift to what some might critique as being a touch oxidative. The wine is kind of an anomalie, I guess it would be the perfect Chardonnay for a Fino Sherry lover. The texture and acidity would also please a Savennieres drinker.
