Monday, April 2, 2007 - TB: Popped and poured into a decanter for about an hour. Meant to have this with the pasta dinner dish, but screwed up the sauce and decided a chard was a better match. Cranberry color with some lightening at the edges. Wonderfully expressive nose of mocha and rich baked cherry pie filling after about an hour of air time. Palate showed mocha and some black cherry. More time showed some bramble fruit and a slightly sweet herbal component. Nice mouthfeel, slight acidity with not much tannic kick, but a well balanced wine nonetheless. Really drinking beautifully, showing a medium to long finish. Thanks to Sacred Cow for gifting us this wonderful bottle.
