Tuesday, June 11, 2013 - An extraordinary bottle of old Cornas. Clear light ruby color with little browning. medium-bodied with flavors of old cherrywood and roasted meats. Still fairly high-toned wth good acidity and a wonderful rustic smoky quality. the finish is perfectly complex with notes of cherry spice and minerals. Really, really special juice. At Rare Wine Co dinner at Bar Boulud, NYC.
