Friday, August 2, 2013 - Double decanted in the morning. Nose of roses and dark fruits. Quite big and warm on the palate with licorice and again dark berry fruit. Longish finish. A touch of alcohol coming through at the end. In its drinking window and will keep but probably not improve much from now. A good example of modern barolo that suited the strong fruit vintage.
