Wednesday, August 21, 2013 - I bought this 6 years ago and as an experiment I decided to hold and age this in my natural cellar until it reached 10 years old. Well folks the experiment was a stunning success. I drink 97% red and the whites I do buy are usually consumed immediately so I wanted to try and age a Chard but did not want to invest in Grand Cru burgs so I aged a reputable Napa Chard.
Color was a noble brass, way different than any other white I ever had. On the nose was nutmeg and mango. On the palate it was velvet butterscotch with aged dried apricot. I had the pleasure to share this with my Wife's best friend who drinks 100% white wines, usually high-end Cali Chards and it was an eye-opener for her as well. Will have to stash some more Napa Chards and invest in some White Burgs for the cellar.

1/25/2014 1:29:00 PM - ARCH57 -- Just to compare see my recent tasting of this wine....I have another bottle which I hope is more like your recent tasting. I have recently intentional tasted several "Too old" Chards and have not found the success I was hoping for. I am looking forward to one which has been properly aged to reap those benefits you recently found

1/26/2014 9:02:00 AM - Wtianseter - I looked up my purchase of this wine and it was in early 2007 so it had been stored in my cellar since then and perhaps that is why my bottle performed better. I am no expert in Chard's as I drink mostly Reds but like they say "there are no good wines, just good bottles". Cheers
