Saturday, August 24, 2013 - Floral / herbaceous nose. Might have even guessed an Italian white by the nose alone (!). In the mouth: Humongous. Heavy tannin, especially at pop. Opens towards the cherry-chocolate flavors I get from Red Mountain wines, only very very concentrated here. Funk near the back, almost towards the industrial part of the spectrum (gasoline on the fingers?). Very unique. I'd call it an after-dinner wine that's certainly not a port or madiera.
