Sunday, October 13, 2013 - Been a long time since I had this. Purchased in France at the Marche aux Vins. Absolutely at peak. Wonderful hermitage with meaty and dark fruits. Plenty of gamey notes. Tannins quite resolved and the wine is nearly seamless. Finish is excellent. Not quite at the level of Chave's Hermitage but that is quite the compliment here. Generally I've preferred the Assembelage bottling but this is so good and full of character I will have to revist that prior conclusion.
