Wednesday, January 1, 2014 - 2014 New Year's Day Tasting $100+ (Marietta, GA): Very dark almost to rim, tiny red rim; chocolate, tobacco, sweet red currant, cinnamon, rich deep and youthful; sweet, softer tannin, sandalwood, red currant, rich and satisfying, structured but not drying, minty finish; very good and too young, give this another 5 years; couldn't fool more than a couple into saying Bordeaux, this still had the California glycerin to it; 93+.
