Wednesday, December 25, 2013 - Decanted over 2 hours before tasting and consumed over 2 day period. First, this is a big wine with notes of coffee, stone, and cedar on the nose. The palette is marked by black fruit--cassis and current with slight herbaceous undertones. Tannins have a firm grip but quickly give way to smoothness and balance. Lots of structure. Notes of cocoa that linger on the long finish. Should definitely improve with age
