Tuesday, March 18, 2014 - Beautiful wine. This Stellenbosch producer is extremely reliable for high quality expression of terroir and adept winemaking skill. Stunning bouquet of deep plum, saddle leather, dark chocolate, coffee bean, and slight vegetal notes (green pepper mostly). Acidity is medium to medium-plus. Tannins are silky, well balanced. Big body with incredible finish. Palate explodes with a stunning array of dark fruit, rich leather, slight dark pepper, and incredible extraction of oak. Would be a perfect choice with filet mignon or ribeye. One of the best values out there!!! Enjoy!
