Thursday, March 20, 2014 - Opened right after the Les Forts de Latour from the same vintage, to celebrate my son's birthday who was born in 2003. Darker than the Les Forts and much more youthful with evident ruby hues. Expressive and clean nose with red plums, cherries, earthy minerality and herbal/green scents. Medium+ bodied with firm structure, clean and pure fruit and balancing (rather high) acidity. Remarkable freshness given the heat of the vintage. Long aftertaste. Quite enjoyable already but I would suggest further cellaring for another 5 years or more.
