Sunday, October 12, 2014 - Garnet to deep plum in color, this blend is surprisingly smooth compared to initial thoughts about it when I looked at the varietal makeup. Black fruit starts the palate, while licorice and cocoa come through towards the finish. Dry with moderate tannin, but doesn't suck your mouth dry like other petit Verdot dominant blends I've tried. Deep, jammy, and enjoyable - nothing super special, but drinks well for the price paid.
