Thursday, October 16, 2014 - 2014 New York Wine Experience Trip; 10/14/2014-10/21/2014 (New York City, NY): As is the case with most bottlings from Merry Edwards, the 2010 Georganne is a fleshy, deep ruby Pinot. The nose and palate are laden with black cherries, blackberries, dried herbs, pickling spice and cola. Supported by fresh acidity and firm tannins, it stays solid in the middle and shows no alcoholic heat (14.4%). The wine's long finish shows some tannic grip. Give this one a bit of time in the cellar. Drink 2016-2022.
