Friday, November 7, 2014 - color: medium purple velvet; nose: faint oak and earth; taste: medium-bodied mouth feel, fruity vegetal taste, medium-length smokey-leathery finish; overall: pretty good and made with care, but very far from special -- its overly greenish taste was a big turn-off, and the $30+/bottle price tag renders this wine poor value for money. I doubt that extra time will greatly improve the juice. Still, as a fan of Maryland wines in general and Black Ankle in particular, I enjoyed trying a bottle.
