Saturday, November 8, 2014 - Deep garnet color. PnP through Vinturi: wonderful dark fruit nose with earth-tones and a bit of gravel. Very tannic, but with the fruit to back it up. Opened well an hour later. Bing cherry, black raspberry, tobacco among other pleasing notes on the palate. Day 3 was even better, and much mellower!
