Thursday, January 8, 2015 - While its a little odd to add syrah to an otherwise Bordeaux blend, it made for a unique enjoyable wine. PRV must have agreed that it was odd, this was the only Tessitura that was made this way (this was the first vintage, all subsequent ones were all Merlot based Bordeaux blends). Dark brooding nose, and a definite syrah peppery influence in the palate. Tannins still evident but not overpowering. If you approach it with the right mindset, you will enjoy it.
