Thursday, January 15, 2015 - Ripe dark cherry, roses, licorice, tar, Fig Newtons, cocoa powder, some wood spice and a bit of heat on the nose. The palate is more of the same, but the acidity and drying tannins dominate right now. Lots going on here. A bit unbalanced right now, but excellent potential once everything has melded.
